Statistics and Economics Consulting was founded by Dr. Christopher G. Leggett in 2006.  
Dr. Leggett has a background in economics and statistics, with an emphasis on applied statistical work related to outdoor recreation and the environment.  He received his B.A. from Harvard University and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park.  He has taught economics and statistics courses at the college level (Montgomery College and University of Massachusetts, Amherst), and he has published in leading economics journals, including Land Economics, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Environmental and Resource Economics, and Marine Resource Economics.  Dr. Leggett is a member of the American Statistical Association, the American Economic Association, the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists, and the American Association for Public Opinion Research.

Dr. Leggett's recent consulting work has focused on statistical sampling and analysis, survey design, program evaluation, economic valuation, and litigation support.  He has provided consulting support to the following organizations, among others:

Prior to founding Statistics and Economics Consulting, Dr. Leggett was a Senior Associate at Industrial Economics, Incorporated (IEc) in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  IEc is a consulting firm providing a range of professional services to government agencies, nongovernmental organizations, and private firms.  Dr. Leggett continues to work closely with Industrial Economics on a variety of projects as a Special Consultant.
